What is Thirty Under Thirty*?

Thirty Under Thirty is part open house, part workshop, and is Risolana’s most *affordable entry point for both seasoned veterans and newcomers to riso! We have riso technicians help you fine-tune your drawings, digital illustrations, photographs, and text to suit the medium, and give you helpful tips to remember for future riso prints.
In the spirit of resolana, we believe there is so much to learn from helping and observing one another. We encourage guests to stay after their print to watch others work, learn design and print skills from one another, and get inspired from one another in a fun, communal learning environment.
Risolana is a non-profit social enterprise that works with and within Partnership for Community Action. If you're interested in learning more about how you can support creating agency through hands-on community art and storytelling, we'd love to hear from you!
What does 30/30 entail?
Every 30th of the month, participants can sign up for a thirty minute time slot in which they may print 30 copies of an 11x17in (or smaller) 1-2 color print of their choice. Upon receiving prints, we ask for a $30 suggested donation to cover materials and maintenance of the studio.
How do I sign up?
Submissions for each month’s 30/30 typically open on the 20th of the month. You can sign up at the following Google Form link. If the form is closed for submissions, it is likely that month’s event is either at capacity or has not been opened yet.

How does 30/30 work?
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email confirming your slot for that month’s 30/30. You will be asked to upload a JPG, PNG, PDF, PSD, AI file or image of any physical drawings/photos you wish to print to the following Google Drive folder. Please place your files in a folder with your first and last name. You can upload those files at any point before the print session.
If you secure a spot for the month, we use a first-come first-served system for how we create the queue for the evening.
Upon completing your print job, we ask for a $30 suggested donation to be paid via PayPal, cash, or card.
Do I need to stay for the whole 2 hours?
Participants may leave the studio after their print job has been fulfilled. However, folks are encouraged to stick around and learn from other participants' print jobs, as these techniques may inspire future riso prints.
I want to learn more about riso but do not have anything I wish to print this month. Can I still come?
